Is it permissible for a wife to sit with her brother-in-law while wearing Burqu`?
Q 2: Is it permissible for my wife to sit in the same room with my brother while wearing Burqu` (a face veil)? We live in the same house, and we cannot afford to buy a separate house.
A: It is impermissible for your wife to sit in Khulwah (being alone with a member of the opposite sex) with your brother, shake hands with him, or reveal any of her adornment to him, nor to your cousins. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
